2025-C994 Beach Accessway Upgrades: Phase 3 - Build

We are looking for a Main Contractor to successfully deliver Kāpiti Coasts first Destination beach accessway, the first of six planned in subsequent years. This is Stage 3 (build) of the Otaki beach accessway project.

The successful Main contractor for the project needs to be able to deliver to the project timeline, employ effective budget management and provide a high quality of workmanship. The contractor will be responsible for delivering a project in a beach landscape.

Our beaches are among the Kāpiti Coast's most iconic open spaces, attracting many people to visit the Kāpiti Coast each year, and a key part of our lifestyle. Our 38km of coastline enables activities from walking on the beach, admiring the sunset, launching a boat or kayak, riding a horse and even birdwatching. For many of us, the views of Kāpiti Island and looking back to the mountains define our identity and 'sense of place'. The beach is a natural playground for families and a place essential to many for their wellbeing. The beach accessways facilitate these activities.
