2026-06 Hydrographic Services

Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is seeking to procure hydrographic survey services that support safe navigation, national resilience, and coastal mapping outcomes. Suppliers must be able to plan, acquire, process, and deliver hydrographic and bathymetric data in accordance with LINZ Hydrographic Survey Specifications (HYSPEC), at a minimum meeting LINZ 1 standards.

Services will primarily focus on safety‑of‑navigation surveys and infill that complements the 3D Coastal Mapping (3DCM) programme. Respondents are expected to demonstrate proven technical capability, sufficient capacity, and the ability to operate across New Zealand, including remote locations, while working collaboratively with LINZ under a Master Services Agreement and Statements of Work.

While it is envisaged that most of the requirements will be met by sonar technology LINZ will consider other technologies that can meet the specifications.

The Deadline for Responses is 8 July 2026 at midday. Responses must be submitted to the Point of Contact in the RFP.
