2026-11131 Tree Maintenance – Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri

The Otago Regional Council (ORC) is responsible for the delivery of land drainage and flood protection services throughout the Otago region. We require suitably skilled and experienced contractors to undertake riparian tree maintenance and topping of tree assets in the Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri Flood Protection and Drainage Schemes. Their root systems stabilise drain and riverbank soils, and ongoing maintenance preserves tree structures and prevents overhanging and uprooting which helps avoid waterway blockages, damming, and washouts—ultimately enhancing flood resilience and reducing long-term maintenance needs. This work will be delivered across two (2) contract packages covering Flood Protection and Drainage Schemes in Lower Clutha and Lower Taieri.
