Rotorua District Council

25-010 Depot Street Sewer Rising Main Extension

Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC) is undertaking a project to extend the existing Depot Street sewer rising main from the current discharge point at the corner of Victoria Street to a new discharge chamber within the rugby park adjacent to Te Ngae Road.

RLC is seeking a Civil Engineering Company to install >1,100 meters of 710mm-PE100-pipe from Victoria Street to Te Ngae Road. This extension will ultimately form part of a complete dedicated pipeline to the Rotorua Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to provide greater capacity and operational flexibility within the network. The extension connects to the existing rising main, roughly 40 meters upstream to the existing discharge manhole SH000428.
The current Depot Street sewer rising main, pumps sewage from the Depot Street pump station to the discharge chamber (UNITID: SH000428) near the junction of Victoria and Ranolf Street.
