Canterbury Regional Council (CRC) is seeking feedback and information from parties with appropriate capability and experience to lease some or all of the West Melton Reserve land held by CRC, to develop and operate a solar energy project, or a mixed solar/ farming development.
CRC is interested in approaches that balance renewable energy generation and/or light grazing with ecological protection and enhancement outcomes. Through this process, CRC seeks to assess the market’s view on the viability, desirability and potential delivery models.
