4837-24/25 Climate change risk and vulnerability assessment for Waitaha Canterbury’s ecosystems

Canterbury Regional Council (CRC) is seeking to develop a region-wide climate change risk and vulnerability assessment for Waitaha Canterbury’s ecosystems by 31 October 2025. This project is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of novel approaches to spatial climate change risk and vulnerability assessments at the ecosystem scale, with regional and potentially national applications. It is a key action for year 1 of the Canterbury Climate Partnership Plan, a collaborative region-wide climate action plan developed by the Canterbury Mayoral Forum.
CRC is seeking to procure an efficient and innovative provider to spatially model the potential impacts of climate change on Waitaha Canterbury’s ecosystems, producing both a map-based tool or platform and an accompanying analysis report.
