ADVANCED NOTICE Outboard Motors National Supply and Service Provisions

MPI (The Ministry) is a Maritime Transport Operator (operates under a Transport Operating Plan) and is responsible for a fleet of 30 vessels that comply with the provisions of the NZ Maritime Operator Safety System (MOSS). These vessels are used for sea patrolling across New Zealand and operate under three fishery sector groups (commercial, recreational, and
customary).

This Advanced Notice is to inform of the intention to go to market seeking qualified and established manufacturers/suppliers of outboard motors who can deliver, outfit, and replace (if necessary) outboard motors, as well as undertake planned and unplanned servicing of the outboards across the fleet.

Additionally, the Ministry is seeking solutions that include removal and/or disposal of the end-of-life motor currently operating within the flee.
