Far North District Council

Advance Notice: FNDC Roading Professional Services

Following a decision to outsource its roading functions, Far North District Council (FNDC) is going to market to secure a Core Roading Professional Services Contract. It is anticipated that the new arrangements will commence January 2026.
FNDC is seeking a Supplier that can ‘hit the ground running’ from day one and hence, the purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform the market of the opportunity, engage with potential suppliers early and provide visibility of the opportunity.
The Supplier will need to establish a local base and commit the right people with the right management and technical experience to support FNDC’s delivery of this key activity.

Scope of services
The procurement will cover professional services related to road infrastructure planning, design, consenting, and project management. Specific services may include:
• Operations and Maintenance Contracts management
• RAMM and data management and analysis
• Asset management and forward works planning
• Transport planning
• Resource management planning support
• Capital works design, procurement and MSQA
• Corridor management support
• Stakeholder engagement and consultation
• Other roading-related functions and activities

We intend to go to market in early to mid-September 2025. The opportunity will be advertised on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS).
