The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) will be seeking proficient and locally based providers to deliver the Work Ability Assessment Service in the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast region.
The Work Ability Assessment Service is a service delivered to MSD clients in person. Suitably qualified medical or health professionals complete an assessment document, taking a holistic look at all factors affecting the client’s ability to work. The assessment identifies what work the client can do and outlines the supports and services they need to both find a job and stay employed.
Please note that this Advance Notice is NOT a tender process - it is simply a notification to the supply market that a procurement opportunity is forthcoming and provides some high-level details about the opportunity. Please refer to the attached document for more information.
We intend to go to market with a Request for Proposal (RFP) in January 2026. The opportunity will be advertised on the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) and MSD Purchasing and Finance System (called Weka). Please subscribe to this Advance Notice so that you will be notified when the RFP is published on both platforms.
