Auckland Prison Potable Water Pipeline Project

This notification is to inform interested suppliers that the Department of Corrections (Corrections) intends to release a request for proposal (RFP) seeking the supply and install of a potable water pipeline in the road reserve adjacent to Auckland Prison (Paremoremo).

The pipeline to be installed is approximately 1km in length, connecting an existing network reservoir to the prison village. We require the services of a Watercare Services Limited approved supplier who has experience in both trenched and horizontal directional drilling installation of PE watermain pipes alongside operational roadways.

This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO). A FPO is an alert to suppliers of potential upcoming procurement activity. It does not represent a commitment to procure but provides an indication to the market about the potential future activity.

Suppliers can subscribe to this FPO. Corrections may use this supplier list to learn of potential respondents. Corrections expects the next step to be an open registration of interest (ROI) released on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS). Those suppliers who have subscribed to the FPO will be notified of the ROI being released.

We expect the ROI will be released in early November 2023 with a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) released to suppliers in February 2024.
