The current Awamoa toilet facility has been identified in the WDC LTP and Toilet Replacement Plan as due for replacement since the asset has reached the end of its economic life and is no longer fit for purpose. It is proposed to install a new unit within the vicinity of the current toilets such that it is readily available to local commuters, public using the domain, sportsmen and through traffic on the busy SH1.
The new toilet is a prefabricated unit to be transported and installed on site.
The current toilets have reached the end of life and are to be demolished.
