The core function of the UC Facilities Management Building Controls team is to ensure the smooth, energy efficient operation of all campus infrastructure and building services, including all HVAC systems, lighting control systems and electrical metering system.
As a part of this function, the Building Controls Team design, expand, scope, program, install, commission and maintain the campus wide 50,000 + data point Siemens DesigoCC Building Management System (BMS) utilising the Siemens PXC family of automation products and engineering software.
The campus BMS is 100% Siemens to ensure simplified in-house maintenance, streamlined critical spare stocks and prompt repair/response for critical campus infrastructure.
The Building Controls team are also responsible for the campus Electrical Metering System (EMS), Schnieder Power Monitoring Expert, which consists of over 900 Schnieder PowerLogic smart electrical meters and high-end ION meters for power quality analysis.
The contract will be to provide the support services for up to three (3) years. This will be managed through a contract for three individually renewed years, i.e. three one-year rights of renewal (1+1+1).
