Through a Notice of Intent, The Queenstown Lakes District Council is advising interested parties of the intention to go to market to attract suppliers for wilding conifer harvest planning and harvest operations on reserve land up Te Tapunui Queenstown Hill

The opportunity

The successful contractor will be required to deliver end-to-end harvest services, including but not limited to:
Phase 1: Comprehensive harvest planning
Phase 2: Harvest operations
The harvest of wilding conifers across 109 hectares of reserve land on Queenstown Hill is a key step in a high-profile Wilfire risk reduction and ecological restoration programme. The Te Tapunui Queenstown Hill Reserve Restoration Management Plan (2025), available online, details the restoration activities and includes an overview of harvest management zones and anticipated harvest methods.
