CC1768 - Invercargill City Public Transport Services Contract

Overview
Invercargill City Council (ICC) intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of public transport services for Invercargill City. The RFP will be released early September 2024.
Once the contract has been awarded the services are expected to commence in November 2025.

Background
Earlier in 2024 ICC released a registration of interest (ROI) seeking feedback on future options for public transport services in Invercargill. The responses received were extremely constructive and provided ICC with a good basis for planning the RFP. Suggestions were wide ranging and included maintaining and improving the current service routes and frequency through to proposing on-demand services.
