The Christchurch City Council's Draft Long Term Plan 2024 - 2034 is open for public feedback from Monday 18 March until Sunday 21 April 2024, and proposes what we'll spend on projects and day-to-day services over the next 10 financial years and how they'll be financed.
Our Partners and Suppliers may be interested in seeing what is proposed to assist with their forward planning.
It proposes spending $9.1 billion on the day-to-day services the Council provides like waste collection and libraries – despite tough economic conditions, we’ve kept the levels of service the community expects from us. It also proposes spending $6.5 billion on the Council’s programme of capital works, which will make sure we can do all the work we need to do, and deliver it in the timeframe we’ve set.
