The Council seeks to establish a panel of specialised suppliers from which it can procure the professional services of experts to support the resource consents team. The panel will assist Council to function under the Resource Management Act (RMA) of 1991, and future legislation with a specific focus on specialist technical matters relating to an applicant’s proposal. We will do this through a collaborative panel approach which will build capacity and capability in Council outputs and outcomes by specifically engaging specialist services in the following professional disciplines.
• Landscape architects for visual landscape, ONF and ONL assessment
• Urban design
• Built heritage
• Cultural heritage
• Archaeology
• Geotechnical including site and soil
• Land use capability
• Contaminated land / human health
• Hazardous substances
• Noise and vibration
• Air quality (dust)
• Lighting
• Ecology / biodiversity
• Arboriculture
• Traffic / transportation
