CON 25-17 Wyndham Museum demolition project

This RFP relates to the procurement for the demolition of the museum including:
All temporary works required, including but not limited to, scaffolding, propping, underpinning required for the safe demolition of the building.
Demolition of roof, external masonry walls and all internal walls and fixings
Removal of floor, piles, and all concrete foundations.
Southland District Council encourage recycling as much as practicably possible.
All recycled material is to remain the property of the contractor undertaking the demolition and removed from site at contractors cost.
All unrecycled material to be removed from site and disposed of at an approved land fill.
Sewer and gray water to be terminated and capped at boundary.
Water to be terminated at existing toby box.
Electricity will be terminated by Southland District Council prior to demolition.
An asbestos demolition survey has been completed.
The building does contain small amounts of asbestos which will be removed prior to the demolition and not form part of this procurement. Upon completion the site will be levelled with topsoil and sown in grass.
Key milestones
Demolition and site reinstatement completed by 30/05/2025.
