Cancer Care Coordination Services

Please read the attached RFP and Response Form documents carefully. The documents have been amended from versions previously posted.

Cancer is a leading cause of illness in New Zealand. We need Cancer Care Coordination services across the cancer continuum, from prevention and early detection, through diagnosis, support for faster cancer treatment, palliative care, and survivorship, to improve hauora outcomes for all populations most affected by cancer.

Cancer Care Coordination services must include support for first specialist appointments, and timely access to treatment, contributing to the Government’s health target of Faster Cancer Treatment.

Cancer Care Coordination services play a significant role in reducing the trauma of cancer diagnosis. They increase the likelihood that someone will successfully complete their cancer treatment and improve the transition to survivorship. Hauora Maori Services currently funds twenty hauora Maori partners who deliver Cancer Care Coordination services from prevention to palliative care and survivorship in areas across Aotearoa. The services support all New Zealanders based on need.
