Carron Street Watermain Renewal

This Contract is for the supply of all labour, materials and plant necessary for the renewal of approximately 205m of watermain pipe on Carron Street, Invercargill. The Contract shall also include the renewal of all associated laterals, valves, hydrants, fittings, and link-in connections, removal/abandonment of existing pipes, disposal of excavated material to a consented site, and other minor works as detailed in the tender drawings and Schedule of Quantities.

All main pipe will follow the existing Watermain alignment, approximately 1.7m away from the kerb and channel, at a depth below the existing watermain to clear crossing Sewer and Storm Laterals. A ridermain loop of approximately 25m of ridermain pipe will replace the hydrant, to avoid the collection of particles that need to be flushed. 21 property connections will be replaced with approximately 240m of lateral pipe. The existing AC pipe will be removed and appropriately disposed of.
