Christchurch Hospital Parkside Endoscopy Independent Certifier

The project is to fit out an existing area within the Christchurch Hospital Parkside Building to accommodate four new Endoscopy procedure rooms, including associated recovery and step-down bed bays, consulting rooms, equipment re-processing area and ancillary services to increase the capacity within the Endoscopy Unit at Christchurch Hospital. The additional facilities will address capacity shortfalls for the current and forecast demand over the next decade. It will also allow some services, that are currently outsourced, to be brought in-house.

The project has been fully designed and documented using a local architect and consulting engineers. Following the Detailed Design phase, the building consent application was lodged and subsequently issued by the Christchurch City Council.

The main contractor procurement process is underway and is expected to be complete on or about October 2nd, 2025. On-site work will begin immediately following the main contractor appointment.

This project is the first in the Region to use the new Health NZ version of NZS3910:2023. The successful respondent will be issued with a signed copy of the contract during their engagement for this project.
