Community Policing Support Timor-Leste

New Zealand has been supporting efforts to promote social cohesion, and economic prosperity in Timor-Leste since the country began its transition to independence in 1999. New Zealand, through The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), is now considering developing with the Government of Timor Leste a next phase of community policing support that takes the progress to date and ongoing challenges into consideration. A key component of a next phase will be building Policia Nacional de Timor-Leste capacity through expert advisers in community policing.

MFAT is currently gathering information on potential solutions for providing community policing support in Timor-Leste.

We are looking to approach the market early next year to seek partners to design and/or implement a Community Policing Support activity in Timor-Leste, but need more information to assist us.

This RFI is for information only and will not be used to select any suppliers. It will be used to gather market intelligence to inform business planning and the design of our future programme. We appreciate any insights you can share with us.
