Computer Tomography Explosive Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage (CT-EDSCB) ECAC Standard 3 Machines

Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is to procure up to 37 Computer Tomography Explosive Detection Systems for Cabin Baggage (CT-EDSCB) ECAC Standard 3 Machines. These machines are to be at least ECAC Standard 3 and TSA compliant. AvSec also require a supporting Maintenance Agreement.

It is intended that a contract will be awarded in June 2022 with the intent that equipment is installed in the nominated airports by 30 June 2023.

The RFP includes:

• installing the capability at the current six, Tier One New Zealand Airports with screening operations,
• introduction into service training and provision of the associated training tutor capability, and
• proven ability to integrate with the current in-service hardware and technology in use on the cabin baggage screening lanes.
