Contaminated Land Assessment - Underground Petrol Storage Systems

Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) is seeking quotations for environmental services related to contaminated land sampling and the preparation of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP). This work is in support of the planned removal of two underground fuel tanks located at Frankton Marina and Glendhu Bay.

To ensure the safe and compliant removal of these tanks, QLDC intends to undertake a Detailed Site Investigation (DSI), including soil sampling and analysis, to assess potential contamination and inform any necessary remediation requirements. In addition, the successful contractor will be required to develop an Environmental Management Plan that outlines procedures for managing environmental risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting best practice throughout the tank removal process.

These services will help ensure that environmental risks are appropriately managed and that all relevant regulatory obligations are met.
