Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the above contract.
This Contract is for the supply, installation and maintenance of native plants at the Kaiapoi Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The main tasks involved in this Contract are:
- Supply and planting of a 3.64 Ha area at the Kaiapoi WWTP with native plants per the planting plan in Appendix A
- Initial site preparation, including removal and spraying of weeds that would compete with the native planting.
- 3 years of planting maintenance, including weed control and replacing plants that die over a 10% threshold.
- Monitoring and reporting on survival rates, size of plants and canopy closure. Note that this contract includes two separable portions:
• Separable Portion A: for completing the main phase of planting (3.29 Ha) in Autumn 2026
• Separable Portion B: for completing a second, smaller phase of planting (0.35 ha) in Spring 2026. This phase will follow the Principal’s construction of an earth bund on the western side of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The timing is based on the Principal’s estimated programme for bund construction. Tenderers must allow for planting in subsequent planting seasons if the bund is not completed before the spring 2026 planting season.
