Contract 26/29 - Blake Street Carpark Redevelopment - Registration of Interest (ROI) – Advertising Notice

CONTRACT 26/29 BLAKE STREET CARPARK REDEVELOPMENT

Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the above contract.

The Blake Street Carpark in the centre of Rangiora Township is planned to be redeveloped in order to meet the growing needs of the community. This complex civil works project will see the existing carpark area completely stripped back, regraded, and extended to create a new more open-plan layout allowing for better accessibility and additional parking spaces.

The scope also includes some underground services works being the replacement of approximately 130m of pressure watermain, 30m of new stormwater pipe with associated sumps, and lighting to suit the new layout with new poles and cabling. Other key tasks include the supply and install of decorative pedestrian paver areas to tie into the nearby town centre pedestrian laneways, tree pit and garden construction, and the supply and install of various pieces of street furniture.

Waimakariri District Council is seeking Registrations of Interest from Civil Works Contractors that have a proven track record of delivering high quality works in a dynamic town centre environment. The works will have a significant impact on the local community and businesses so good communication and the ability to deliver the works in a timely manner while minimizing the public impacts will be paramount.

The intention is to develop a short-list of contactors who show they can meet the project requirements and so will be invited to submit a tender price for the works.
