Crown Infrastructure Delivery and Department of Internal Affairs - Critical Works Project - Registration of Interest

This Registration of Interest (ROI) is issued by Crown Infrastructure Delivery Limited (CID) on behalf of DIA to inform the market of an upcoming opportunity and to provide interested parties with the opportunity to express their interest in the Construction Works for the Project.
Shortlisted Respondents will be invited to respond to a Request for Tender (RFT) for the Construction Works required to deliver the Project.

This procurement seeks to engage a suitably experienced construction contractor to deliver a defined package of works within the National Library Molesworth Street building, an operational, occupied, and heritage sensitive government facility. At this stage, requirements are intentionally high level and focus on identifying contractors with the capability, experience, and capacity to manage the heightened operational, safety, stakeholder, and heritage risks associated with delivering works in a live environment.

Here is our timeline for this ROI (all are New Zealand times and dates):
a) Deadline for Questions from Respondents: 18 03 2026
b) Deadline for Registrations: 16:00 30 03 2026
c) Shortlisted Respondents will be notified by: 09 04 2026
d) RFP will be released to shortlisted Respondents: week starting 02 06 2026
e) Contract start date: 03 08 2026
