Cyclone Recovery - Transport

The Cyclone Gabrielle weather event of 14 February 2023 created widespread damage across Hawkes Bay, and the East Coast and created a massive amount of damage and disruption to the community and to the transport network.
This has left the roading infrastructure in a fragile state. Many parts of the network are now weather dependent, and a widespread lower level of service is experienced with some locations requiring longer alternative routes.
This Advanced Notice is to inform contractors about the large size and scale of the upcoming works required to repair and reinstate the network.
This notice provides early advice that the Council will be undertaking engagement to inform the market on its proposed method of procurement and delivery of the civil contract works for the cyclone recovery.

Note Hastings District Council will be shutdown for Christmas, if you have questions between 20 Dec 2023 - 7th January 2024, these will not be responded by the 10th January 2024.
