DOC Subantarctic Vessel Panel

This is a panel of vessels for charter voyages to, from and between subantarctic islands. This is intended to be used when the Navy are not available and/or can’t meet our business needs.

It was established as a cluster with GNS, MetService and Te Papa in 2018.

DOC has a Master Services Agreement (MSA) contract with six vessel operators (10 vessels).

Each voyage will have a Statement of Work (SOW) and associated documents (voyage plan, safety plan etc).

The first term of the MSA is for two years to 30 June 2020, with rights of renewal every two years for up to 20 years (to the year 2038).

The panel will be re-advertised every two years to allow more vessel operators to apply to join.

DOC is not taking questions at this time. Future Procurement Opportunities are to advise the market of potential upcoming opportunities which may or may not be progressed. If the project is progressed, you will be notified. Any further information about this opportunity will be available on GETS if/when we go to market.
