The Health Quality & Safety Commission (the Commission) seeks proposals from interested parties (“Respondents”) to develop and deliver a quality and safety governance framework which gives effect to the Crown’s responsibilities to Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Te Tiriti) and guidance on clinical governance structures and systems for providers of health and disability services.
In developing this framework, extensive engagement with the sector and key partners is essential. The framework will incorporate local and international evidence and best practice in clinical governance alongside mātauranga Māori and centred-in te ao Māori. The output from this work will be a document providing a framework and guidance for the whole health sector in how to embed a Te Tiriti partnership model for quality and safety governance.
