Design Services for Waste Transfer Station and Resource Recovery Centre

Gisborne District Council are seeking a collaborative Designer to develop a Master Plan for a Solid Waste Transfer Station / Resource Recovery Centre with GDC and it’s appropriate Mana Whenua partners.

For the purposes of engagement, consultation and planning, the Master Plan will utilise the recently acquired site on Lytton Road as the proposed location. GDC expects that, should the Lytton Road site prove unsuitable, the Master Plan will be adaptable to alternative locations and as such master planning will provide high level comparisons to alternative greenfield sites.

The Master Plan will define the short-, mid-, and long-term requirements of an SWTS/RRC for the Gisborne Region and provide indicative cost estimates and a development timeline. There may also be opportunities to proceed with subsequent phases for Concept Design, Detailed Design, Procurement of Physical Works, and Construction Phase Services for the confirmed site. However, at the conclusion of each project phase, the Buyer reserves the right to reconsider its requirements and strategic approach.
