The Waiheke Local Board invites expressions of interest from local community groups to lease the 'Old Surfdale Post Office' building situated at 6 Hamilton Road, Surfdale.
The local board invites expressions of interest from community groups to:
· increase community access to and utilisation of the facility;
· provide services and/or activities that align to the Waiheke Local Board Plan 2017;
· provide social and/or economic benefits to the Waiheke community.
The successful applicant will need to be an incorporated society or charitable trust and be able to meet the requirements as stipulated in Auckland Council's Community Occupancy Guidelines 2012.
Council reserves the right to seek proposals and applications from other parties in addition to those who respond to this invitation, and to accept or reject any applications.
The building is an old post office of approximately 85m2 constructed circa 1950, located on Lot 1 DP 123689 and held by Auckland Council in fee simple under the Local Government Act 2002.
The facility will be available for viewing on Thursday, 2 April 2020, from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
All applicants will have until the 17 April 2020 to submit applications.
