Ernest Rutherford [Sc24] Mechanical Remedial Works – Hose Connections

The Requirements comprise of the remedial works of the Mechanical services connections remediation, including the replacement of flexible hose connections to the Chilled Beams, Fan Coil Units (FCU) and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems. The hose connections installed during the construction of the facility are of an incorrect type and, therefore, prone to leaking. In addition, an incorrect type of condensation monitor was used and installed in incorrect locations. New condensation monitors are to be installed and the existing condensation monitors are to be removed. Access to the hose connections and isolation points will be challenging in some locations, requiring building work to gain access, installation of new access hatches and make-good works.
