FY25 March Weather Event Remediation Transport - Bossu Road Bridge Reconstruction

The project area is located south of Wainui in Ohinepaka Bay, Akaroa Harbour. The bridge site is located at a bend in the road where it crosses Ohinepaka Bay Creek in a rural area of Banks Peninsula. Bossu Road Bridge was washed out in early 2025 following a flood event, and was replaced with a temporary culvert in May 2025.

The project works will involve the removal of the existing temporary culvert to facilitate the installation and alignment of a new culvert, Anchorbloc wingwalls, timber barriers, and reinstatement of the roadway.
