Fire and Emergency has a current fire weather reporting system which has been in place since 2012. The current contract will expire in late 2025 and the purpose of this RFI is to understand the availability of the same or similar services and whether there are other suppliers that would be interested and able to provide this service in the future.
We are seeking information about the provision of either the complete system or individual subsystems.
Our existing Fire Weather System comprises multiple subsystems or components. The subsystems encompass the Fire Weather System (FWSYS), the Fire Behaviour Modelling tool, Grass Curing Assessments, and Smoke Modelling, each contributing to the system's overall functionality.
We are also interested in additional tools such as smoke modelling, smoke dispersal indices, lightning and rain radar data.
