Ford Road - Stage 2 - Pump Station Design and Build Construction Contract

Bay of Plenty Regional Council, Toi Moana is releasing the second stage of the Ford Road Pump Station Upgrade project.

The aim of the project is to provide a safe, reliable, and efficient drainage system to the Lower Kaituna catchment area, that meets modern standards, while improving water quality, ecological health and fish passage within the lowland drains and drainage canals that are part of the Lower Kaituna River Scheme.
This Contract is a Lump Sum NZS3916: 2013 contract and the tender will be evaluated by weighted criteria, in accordance with the method outlined in Clause 107.1 and 107.5, section A5 and the BOPRC procurement manual

The key objectives of the project are to:

● Protect the environment from flood damage;
● Maintain the levels of service and provide security and reduce flood risk to existing social and economic developments;
● Address current health and safety and operational issues;
● Reduce adverse effects on the Kaituna River and Maketū Estuary; and
● Allow for natural processes, climate change and build in future proofing.

This tender response includes a compulsory site visit on the 16th April 2025. Refer to Section A4 - Schedule to Conditions of Tendering of the RFT, clause 103.1.
To limit traffic movements on the private property please arrive in one car per tenderer. An overflow carpark can be found at Ford Road boat ramp.
