What we need
The Watercare Charter Order 2025 requires Watercare to prepare a plan and then implement a review and redesign our Infrastructure Growth Charge (ICG). This requirement will also result in the need to review our retail pricing structure. The review and redesign of our ICG policy is critical to Watercare to ensure that:
- we recover the true cost of growth
- we are confident we are delivering infrastructure in a fair and equitable way
- we are aligning with the policy direction of central government, the Commerce Comissions and the strategies and policies of Auckland Council.
We are looking to procure an economist or consultant with pricing expertise who has prior experience and capability in funding growth and utility pricing, and preferably knowledge of the water industry, to partner with us for this piece of work.
