HDC 24-035 Hawarden Watermain

The proposed contract is for the installation of a new watermain in and around the Hawarden township in North Canterbury. Starting from the Washpen stream bridge north of Hawarden, the pipeline will run south in the road berm until it reaches the Hawarden reservoir, with twin pipes extending from the road to the reservoir. The installation will continue from Hawarden township, starting and Quinlivan Street and continuing south down O’Carrolls Road to the end of the township, connecting to existing submains and property connections along the way.

The proposed pipeline will consist of approximately 2,570 metres of DN250 PE100 PN12.5, including 100 metres of DN63 PE80 PN12.5 in a shared trench and approximately 300 metres of DN125 PE100 PN12.5 connecting the main to existing network pipelines. The first section of 1950 metres of this pipeline will be in rural berm and through paddocks to the reservoir. The second section of this pipeline is through urban footpath and berm of Hawarden, including road crossings and property connections.
