HDC24-005 Supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

This procurement opportunity is for the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE).

The aim of this procurement is to find a supplier or suppliers with demonstrated capabilities to source, manufacture, and supply PPE for internal staff in a timely manner, consistently for the future to the required standards.

Suppliers will need to demonstrate they have the ability to:
• Support PPE products in the New Zealand market
• Detail how they support broader outcomes, and environmental sustainability (E.g recycling of PPE products)
• Demonstrate high level of labour and human rights standards and due diligence

Some PPE products include:
• Masks
• Eyeware
• Headwear
• Safety shoes/boots
• Gloves
• Coats and jackets
• Disposable clothes
• Overalls and Jackets
• Slacks and trousers and shorts

Expenditure for PPE has been based on usage from the previous 12 months the approximate annual expenditure for PPE products is $60-$70K.

This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO). A FPO has replaced the Annual Procurement Plan information previously available to suppliers on MBIE’s website. A FPO is an alert to suppliers of potential upcoming procurement activity. It does not represent a commitment to procure but provides an indication to the market about the potential future activity.

This opportunity is for the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Suppliers can subscribe to this FPO. HDC may use this supplier list to learn of potential respondents. If an RFx is released, the FPO will be linked to the RFx. If an open tender process is to be used, those suppliers who have subscribed to the FPO will get automatically notified of the RFx being released.

No information is required to be submitted in response to this FPO.
