We need to procure a suitably qualified supplier to undertake Hazardous Tree Removal work to mitigate the risk of major damage caused by tree failure to Council infrastructure, while improving the resilience of key transport routes.
It is extremely important to us that potential suppliers provide evidence that they can meet our preconditions of;
• Must be a New Zealand Arboricultural Association (NZ Arb) Registered Master Arborist by contract start date (1 September 2025)
• Must be able to start on 1 September 2025.
• Supplier staff and utility arborist or sub-contractor must hold and maintain current and future Wellington Electricity authorisation/certification to work within proximity of the 11KV power networks by contract start date (1 September 2025)
• Must hold the following insurances
o Public liability insurance to a (min) value of $5m
o Plant and Equipment insurance to a (min) value of $2m
o Motor Vehicle insurance to a (min) value of $2m
Suppliers who cannot provide evidence of the above will not progress to the evaluation stage.
