Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Desktop Packaging and Testing Partner

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (HNZ) is moving our previous disparate local desktops to a single national desktop. This means a single national Windows image (with tailoring for specific hardware drivers for individual hardware specifications), and the ability to dynamically deploy the necessary applications for any individual worker to that desktop.
The desktop is evergreen, with the ability to deploy patches (particularly security patches) at short notice. Accordingly, our intention is to automate many key processes, in particular regression and sociability testing, and to use DevOps processes to allow a responsive deployment process for new or patched applications.
The desktop is Microsoft InTune managed, with some portions using legacy System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) processes. In some locations the desktop will be a hybrid joined to the local active directory.
The migration to this desktop is a multi-year process, we plan to move the majority of our corporate and management staff by June 2024 (up to 15,000 staff across the country). We will be commencing migration of our clinical staff in the near future.
