Henderon Police Base Locker Upgrade

What we need

New Zealand Police (Police) is seeking to appoint a main contractor to deliver the locker upgrade project at Henderson Police Base, 7 Buscombe Avenue, Henderson.

The main purpose of this work is to provide the Base with an expanded and refreshed locker and ablutions area to increase overall capacity to meet the requirements of a programme to increase the number of constables in our communities.

Scope of project

The scope of works for the Main Contractor will include the following construction activities:

In-scope

Refurbishment of existing shower/locker area, specifically the work packages as below;

• Temporary and enabling works required to support the ongoing operations of Police staff.
• Demolition & alteration of existing fitout and structures.
• New and altered building services to suit new locker, changing and bathroom facilities layout and includes sub-floor drainage, hot & cold-water supply and new mechanical system.
• Fitout of locker room, changing spaces, and bathrooms.
• Ensuring continuation of ongoing police operations.

Out of scope

• Supply and install of lockers.
• Any scope not included in the tender drawings and specification.
