Island Block Pump Station Upgrade

Waikato Regional Council (Council) invites tenders for the Island Block Pump Station Upgrade.

This tender is for construction works involving the replacement of three existing pump stations within the Island Block catchment with a single new 0.85m3/sec enclosed Archimedes screw (EAS) pump station. The works includes associated drainage modifications to amalgamate the catchment, and redirect flows north to the proposed fish‑friendly pump station, together with the demolition of three existing northern pump stations.

Council is looking for credible contractors who have the capacity, capability, experience and resources to deliver this project on time and within budget. They need to have a good track record on health and safety and environmental management.

Attendance at a compulsory site inspection to be held on 05 August 2026 at 10am is important to us, to ensure that all Tenderers have seen the site, understood the hazards and issues associated with the site/project, and have had an opportunity to ask questions of Council’s Operations staff and Project Manager about the project. Tenders received from Tenderers who do not attend the compulsory site inspection will not be evaluated by Council.

Tenders close at 4:00pm on Friday 28 August 2026 and must be submitted electronically via GETS.
