Kahu Taurima is the joint Te Aka Whai Ora and Te Whatu Ora approach to maternity and early years (pre-conception to five years old). As a result of the Well Child Tamariki Ora (WCTO) Review in 2021, a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) was formed to recommend changes to the current WCTO clinical schedule (which includes Before School Checks (B4SC)); this resulted in a proposed clinical schedule for universal Child Growth and Development services.
We seek to test the proposed changes to the Child Growth and Development service schedule as a prototype on a smaller scale, with six Providers/Partners prior to rolling the changes out nationally. We are looking for agile providers/partners who have demonstrated capability, experience and infrastructure and a good track record in the management and implementation of WCTO, B4SC or Kahu Taurima services (Te Ao Māori or Pacific) to work with Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora to test the proposed changes to the service schedule.
