Karikari Fire Station

We wish to engage the services of a construction supplier to demolish and rebuild a new fire station for Karikari that is fit-for-purpose, resilient, meets statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements.

The scope of this project includes:
• Demolition of the existing fire station. (there is no asbestos detected in this building)
• Build a purpose-built facility with a ground floor area of 298m2 that comprises of two vehicle bays, amenities, conveniences, and a training room.
• The new facility will be a 100% NBS IL4 building and will meet all statutory and Fire and Emergency compliance.
• The building finishes include corrugated iron material which are intended to be painted in a combination of blue, red, grey, and typical of Fire and Emergency branding.
• A total of 14 formed car parking spaces are proposed. This includes an accessible space. Adequate manoeuvring area for forward exiting of staff and emergency vehicles is available within the designated area.
• Existing potable water bore to be retained and used by the new station.
• Footpaths and side breakout space formed using reinforced exposed aggregate concrete.
