Kiribati Health Sector Partnership

New Zealand is looking to procure a supplier or consortium to design and implement a strategic health investment - the Kiribati–New Zealand Health Sector Support Programme, with estimated value $16 m over seven years (2026–2033) in Kiribati. The Programme is expected to adopt a multi-modality and multi-partner approach leveraging regional health programmes and partnerships, and strengthening the partnerships between Kiribati and New Zealand.

The programme will have a primary focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) and the prevention and management of Non Communicable diseases (NCDs).

It will align with the Kiribati National Health Strategic Plan 2024–2027, the Kiribati RMNCAH Strategy 2022–2027, and relevant Pacific regional frameworks, including the Pacific Leaders Gender Equality Declaration and the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific.
The Activity will:
• Promote more accessible, inclusive, and equitable health services;
• Be inclusive of vulnerable and marginalised groups, with a strong focus on maternal and child health; and
• Apply participatory and inclusive design approaches.
