MRI and Endoscopy Facility at Wairarapa Hospital

Health NZ wishes to identify Main Contractor to provide construction services to build a purpose-built facility comprising Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and dedicated Endoscopy suites at Wairarapa Hospital, Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton.

We require a Main Contractor to
• deliver the Stage 1 enabling (ground preparation) works,
• provide early advice to the Stage 2 Contract Works under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach, and
• deliver the Stage 2 Contract Works which will include designing the building services and seismic restraint of non-structural elements.

Main Contractors must have a proven track record in ECI, Design & Build delivery methods, and managing relevant works within similarly complex, operational environments.

Main Contractors must be able to bring together and manage a team of skilled, competent and experienced key personnel and subcontractors for the duration of the contract works. All must have relevant experience in live clinical facility upgrades and hospital construction standards. We expect to establish an effective working relationship with a Main Contractor who has the capability and capacity to achieve delivery timelines, and who can bring design innovation and potential long-term savings and efficiencies to the Contract Works.
