Main Building Contractor for Block A Refurbishment at Ngakonui Valley School, Taumarunui

The Board of Trustees for Ngakonui Valley School are seeking a suitably qualified Main Building Contractor to carry out the Block A Refurbishment.

The Contract Works required are: Block 1: Demolition & Carpentry – Remove & discard existing Cabinetry units including benchtop in wet area. Remove & discard – floor coverings, 2 x existing basins in corridor, existing aluminium window inserts, all wall linings in Rooms 10 & 11 including Wet Area, back to bare framing timber. Remove & discard any power, phone data, alarm & fire cabling that is redundant & allow to relocate any exposed cabling in conduit into wall cavities behind the new linings. Frame in doorway between Rooms 9 & 10, removing trim to ensure flush final finish with existing walks on both sides. Wall Linings & Painting – Supply & install wall insulation & standard gib, plaster all walls. Supply & install Autex composition & Hydrapanel. Full interior repaint including ceilings. Electrical, Data & Floor Coverings – Supply & install double data outlets & new double power outlets. Replace all faceplates throughout Rooms 10 & 11 & corridor with new modern faceplates including light switches. Install new carpet tiles in corridor & Tarkett IQ in Wet Area. Cabinet & Joinery – Fully restore built in cabinetry. Install 2 x Whiteboard Cabinets & new melteca cabinetry units. Replace existing immediate water supply & waste pipework & Basin Tap. Supply 7 install new laminated or double glazed aluminium window inserts.

Contractors MUST visit site for tender to be compliant. Contact School Office to arrange a site visit.

Ideally dependent on MoE funding approval this work would start as soon as possible after confirmation provided, however this will be discussed with the successfull contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed.
