The Board of Trustees for Newbury School are seeking a suitably qualified Main Building/Fencing Contractor to carry out the Learning Support Modifications Fencing, Gates & Site Works Project.
Supply and Install of fencing components (as per attached design) – No foot holes, steps or horizontal bars that facilitate climbing (distance between structural horizontal beams to be at least 1200mm apart) or structures within 1m of the fence that facilitate climbing. Fence work reaches down to ground leaving no gaps (maximum 100mm) Minimum height 1800mm with no exposed points at top. Gates with safety latches situated approximately 1600mm from ground level or higher. Gates to be fitted with auto-closing mechanisms. New fencing is a mix of powder-coated galvanised & aluminium fencing, including pedestrian, accessible and vehicle gates. Some grounds works including relocating items, removal of water tank and drainage grating also required.
All work to comply with manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.

Contractors MUST visit site for tender to be compliant. Contact the noted representative in Invite Letter to arrange a site visit.
Ideally dependent on MoE funding approval this work would start as soon as possible after confirmation provided, however this will be discussed with the successfull contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed.
