St Leonards School has received Supplementary funding in the 2023/24 regional budget to replace the tennis courts, surface, subbase, stormwater drainage and construct a new fence.
This is due to existing tennis courts failing and geotechnical testing revealing a lack of sufficient subbase which can only be described as harbour dredging’s. Subsequent testing has revealed the presence of arsenic over approximately 25% of the tennis court area. This soil will have to be disposed of at a certified facility.

Safety hazards and associated critical risks that have been identified as specific to the Contract Works and which must be included in a SSSP for the Contract Works are:
• Excavation
• Contaminated land
• Working in an operational school
