Main Contractor for Blocks A,B: Building Envelope Remediation and Blocks A, B, H,T, T1, Covered Ways: Reroofing at Gisborne Intermediate

2.1 Background
Outcome sought is to:-
repair/replace cladding to Block A -Library, Block B - Hall . An allowance has been provided to replace wall framing as required. Hall has windows that are leaking and require new double-glazed windows within existing openings, make good scope has been provided.
Repair / replace roof cladding to Block A – Library, Block B – Hall, Block D – Roof fixings, Block H – toilet area, Covered Ways
The building work has been identified in specialist reports carried out in the school’s 10YPP and funding will be allocated from the school’s 5YA.
Some elements of the project work may need to be carried out outside of normal school hours.
Project consultants are:

2.2 Required solution (method and approach)
The Contract Works required are:
i. nature of the Works is replacing elements with new and repairing and replacement to bring building up to improved standards.
ii. The scale of the works is Medium
iii. Some elements of the project would need to be carried out outside of normal school hours.
iv. Site access is level and flat and offers easy vehicle access.
v. The Contractor will be engaged through a Medium Works Contract. No Contract related tags will be considered.. The Principal prefers there to be no drawings and specification related Tags.
